History

I’m always snacking on raisins and dried cranberries sweetened with fruit juice. Before working out, I often grab myself a handful of raisins and dried cranberries. And I do so because I want to make sure my body doesn’t run out of fuel. (But be careful, I steer clear of the ones that are packed with added sugar, which I don’t find necessary.)

This recipe for the Sporty Handful of Cranberries without added sugar HEALTHY MUFFINS was inspired by one of the recipes in my muffin cookbook Ces muffins dont tout le monde parle. I simply substituted the raisins with dried cranberries. When I discovered this new product from the Quebec brand Patience Fruit & Co. in fall 2020, they completely won my heart.

I’ve tested this recipe using wheat, oat and gluten-free flour and the taste has been perfect every time.
