History

I love green tea but I absolutely adore matcha green tea. How can such a fine little tea powder be so invigorating? The first time I tasted an iced matcha, I immediately fell in love. But when I realized the amount of refined sugar that’s added to it, I simply couldn’t believe it. Why so much sugar?  I went more than a year without ordering an iced matcha tea…. until one morning I woke up and had a moment of inspiration and thought of sweetening it with date puree. What a great idea. I dare you to try it, you won’t be disappointed!

This recipe is featured in my second cookbook in English entitled Energize Your Day, which is set to be released in spring 2021.

You have until 28 July to pre-order my third cookbook Ces muffins dont tout le monde parle (in French only). Have you reserved your signed copy yet?

FAQ

Where can I buy Madame Labriski date puree?

At IGA, Rachelle Béry, Marché Tradition and Bonichoix grocery stores across Quebec. My purees contain no preservatives and can be found in the fruit and vegetable section (yes, dates are fruit) near the pre-cut fruit and vegetables. If you can’t find them, simply ask a member of staff!

The recipe calls for a plant-based beverage, can I use regular cow’s milk instead?

Yes, always.
