7 steps

  • Put the date puree and cacao powder into a large bowl and mix well using your wooden spoon. Be careful! Cacao has a tendency to puff all over so to avoid making a huge mess, I suggest you stir gently at first.

  • Mix until well combined. Yes, I know it doesn’t look as though it’s going to work but trust me, it will. Just keep stirring until you have a nice smooth texture.

  • Wow, don’t you think it smells amazing? Yum, yum, yum, yum, yum, yumski!

  • Rub a little coconut oil (or other) into your hands and then shape the dough into nice little balls.

  • Next, roll each of your little balls in the cacao. Helpful tip: I suggest putting the cacao in measuring cup and then gently rotating the balls in the cacao… they’ll come out perfect. If you don’t have a measuring cup, just simply roll them in the cacao.

  • Optional: To make an even greater stylish impression, you can roll some of the dough (or even another batch altogether) in a different type of yummy coating (pecans, ground almonds, matcha, coconut or colourful cake decorations to amuse the kids).

  • Extra: Put a few of your Truffeskis aside in the freezer. When the time is right, take them out and serve them to your dinner guests. TheTruffeskis will act as a kind of festive trou normand, with a 100% guaranteed WOW factor.
